The new stadium
for Milan.
Generali Stadium will be the new home of AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano. Designed by Foster + Partners and MANICA, it aims to preserve the intensity of San Siro and bring fans closer to the pitch.
Distinctive architecture, new public spaces and a neighbourhood to enjoy beyond matchday.
Inside the project ↘
Architecture
and belonging.
The X-frame rises from the colonnades to the roof. Its design draws on Italian engineering and the geometry of Milan’s Duomo.
Foster + Partners ↗01 A signature in the skyline +
Exposed concrete defines the façade and supports the double-curved roof.
02 The city, from another angle +
Diamond-shaped entrances and panoramic walkways offer views of the stadium and Milan.
03 Energy and natural light +
The design integrates photovoltaic technology in the roof and naturally ventilated colonnades.

Closer to the pitch.
A louder voice.
Two tiers of stands. End stands rising at up to 37°.
Every decision starts with the fans.
San Siro,
beyond matchday.
The stadium sits within a 281,000 m² urban regeneration project. Green areas, public spaces and places for culture and leisure will become part of neighbourhood life.
